Writ Petition Against Wilpattu Resettlement Deferred…..
The petition filed against settlement of refugees in nearly 1000 acres of land belongs to Wilpattu Sanctuary was deferred to be taken up for inquiry on 5th June 2018. Petitioners prayed that direction be given to relevant officers to take legal action against the Wilpattu settlement.
When the writ petition filed in the Appeal Court was taken up for inquiry before the Chief Justice of the Appeal Court Preethi Padman Soorasena and Justice Shiran Gunaratne, this order was given.
