Some SLFP Ministers to Join UNP to Form a New Coalition Government.

After the electoral defeat faced by the at the local government polls, some SLFP Ministers are frustrated. Hence, they are divided into two factions. While some SLFP ministers will throw their weight behind the UNP the others will sit in the opposition as a separate group. The SLFP Ministers who want to throw their weight towards UNP believes to form a new coalition government.

They also have plans to rally behind other political forces in the opposition. Few of them seek to join hands with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, which won the elections concluded last Saturday. However, the SLPP has laid down conditions for it.
