Minister Nimal Sripala De Silva to be the Next Prime Minister?

Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara told that the UPFA had decided to propose Nimal Sripala de Silva’s name for the PM post in order to form a new government.

UPFA will submit a paper signed by 113 MPs proposing Nimal Sripali de Silva as the new Prime Minister. It is the tradition that the Member of Parliament, who commands the support of majority of MPs to be the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that talks are underway to appoint joint opposition MP Chamal Rajapaksa as the Speaker again.
