Accident Cost One Live & 10 Wounded

A van was returning from a pilgrimage to ‘Sri Pada’ had veered off the road and collided with a lamp post killing a woman and injuring 10 others.

They were admitted to Padaviya Hospital and 6 persons, who were in critical condition were transferred to Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital. A Buddhist monk was among the injured, Police said.

Further investigations are carried out  by the police.
