Thailand Artificial Rain Experts Arrives in Srilanka

The Thailand special team of experts have arrived in the country to embark activities to facilitate the precipitation of artificial rain or simply to create artificial rainfall in Srilanka.

They will conduct field visits today in areas surrounding hydro power plants. The special team is set to visit the areas on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy Media Spokesperson, Sulakshana Jayawardena confirmed it and noted that the generation of hydro power has been limited as water levels at reservoirs are currently at 59 percent.
