“Achieving Economic Justice is the only Aim of JVP manifesto” – Anura Kumara

 

Janatha vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that the party’s manifesto “Accord of Consciousness” was based on achieving economic justice.

Speaking to trade union representatives this morning, Mr. Dissanayake emphasized that the top 20% of the society ruled the country for 67 years and added that they are pushing forward their interests. The lower levels of society can achieve their goals only by taking power, he added.

Dissanayake also pointed out that without economic justice there cannot be a universal education system, a universal judicial system, a universal health system and a quality life for everyone. Therefore, economic justice is the key in achieving equality, said.
