Three Wheel Charges to be Increased?
The Lanka Self Employed Professionals’ National Three-wheel Federation, as the spare parts prices had gone up by 150%, attention was drawn to increase three wheel hiring fare as from 26th March 2018.
The Union stated that due to increase in tax on spare parts imported prices have gone up. If no solution is found within a month, they will be compelled to increase the fare as mentioned above.
Accordingly ,the current fare structure Rs 50 and Rs 40 have been charged for the first and second kilometre respectively. Under the proposed structure , the first and second Kilometer will be increased to Rs 50.
