4 Basic Conditions Laid Down For Posts in LG Councils by JO Supporters…..

Supporters of the local government councils of the Joint Opposition placed 5 basic conditions in providing posts in the councils to be formed by the Joint Opposition, which included Srilanka Podujana Peramuna and certain independent groups backed by them viz:

1. They should have been member of the  Joint Opposition as from 8^th January  2015

2. Preference should be given to former Chairman and Mayors.

3. Recognizing recommendation of senior organizers and  percentage of votes obtained

4. Those who were rejected by the people in the election should not be considered for posts, though they were selected to parliament.

They insist that the above for conditions should be strictly implemented.
