President Directed Security Divisions  &  IGP to Conduct Impartial Investigation

President Maithripala Sirisena has directed the security divisions and the IGP to conduct and impartial and independent investigation in connection with the incidents which occurred in Digana, Kandy yesterday(5).

He also directed the Police and Army to implement a special programme in the area to ensure the security of all residents.

Further he said the Security Forces to work together with all parties to avoid further escalation of the situation .
