Upcoming Provincial Council Election on Mixed System

Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister Faizer Mustapha said, that upcoming Provincial Council election will be conducted on mixed system. Delimitation work has been completed. Only approval from parliament is yet to be obtained. Parliament approved mixed system with 2/3 rd majority. Hence Provincial council election should be conducted on mixed system.

After rectifying the shortcomings observed in the mixed system in the LG election, Provincial council election will be conducted on mixed system, he concluded.
