Delay in Publishing Names of Members of LG Councils…
Government Press sources revealed that there will be delay in issuing the gazette notification, which includes the names of selected members of the Local Government Councils. This was mainly due to the long process it has to go through such as printing, proof reading, correcting nearly 8,600 members of 340 local government councils.
Now the list has been sent to the Election Commission for their final correction before printing it. Once received printing will start forthwith.
It is relevant to mention the period of membership of LG council members begins on the 20th March 2018.
