Ask Singapore to Handover Mahendran -Navin

Speaking to media Minister Navin Dissanayake says  the government is of the opinion that a person found guilty by a Presidential Commission should be brought before the law. Former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran  is  found  responsible for the  controversial  Treasury bond scam by the Presidential Commission. He is a suspect in the case filed  in court but absconding attending court. Warrant has been issued by the court.

Making use of the friendly relations Singapore has with the Srilanka,  a request  need to be made by the Srilanka Government to hand over Arjun to Srilanka.

Singapore may respond positively, he concluded.
