Government Acceded Request of Mahanayaka Theros and fixed the May Day Celebrations on 7th

Mahanayaka Theros have requested the government to postpone May Day celebrations due to the fact that Vesak Day poya day will be observed on April 29 and 30th.
Hence the Cabinet approved today (27) to celebrate the May Day celebrations on 7th of May in the year 2018.
Accordingly, 1st of May will be a working day. Instead May 7th is declared as a holiday.
