No Decision on Increase the Price of Milk and Cooking Gas

The Consumer Authority has stated that no decision has been taken on increasing the prices of milk and cooking gas in yesterday’s cost of living committee meeting.
Accordingly, the Consumer Authority has to analyse and review the price increase request by milk food importers and cooking gas manufactures.
Recently, the Cost of living Committee has granted permission to increase the price of milk powder by Rs.80 per kilogram.
Followed by the price increase of Rs.80, the 400g milk packet was increased by 35 rupees.
