Three New Power Plants to Meet Increase in Demand For Electricity

Secretary to the Ministry, Suren Batagoda said, the Ministry of Power and Renewable energy has decided to construct three new power plants to meet the increase in demand for electricity.

The power plants will be constructed with the assistance of Japan, India, and China. He further noted that, contracts related to three other power plants have been extended for three years.
