A Garment Warehouse in Galle on Fire……

Fire erupted in a garment warehouse in Dangedara, Galle at 4 am this morning.

Garments in the warehouse that were to be sold during the new year  festive season valued at around Rs 50 million were completely destroyed, said Galle Police.

Efforts taken by   the Galle Municipal Council and the Navy fire fighters didn’t save at least part of the garments.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
