Weather Forecast For 14th April 2018
Possibility for afternoon thundershowers is still high.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most provinces of the islandafter 2.00 p.m.
Showers may occur in the Southern coastal areas during the morning too.
Heavy falls about 100mm can be expected at some places, particularly in the Western, North-western Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and Uva provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
On the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05th to 15th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (14th) are,Kilinochhi, Vaddakkachchi and Iruddumadu about 12:10 noon.
