Former Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunarathne & 5 Others Released on Bail
Former Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunarathne and five other suspects were arrested in connection with the misappropriation of Rs. 12 million belonging to Ceylon Fisheries Harbor Corporation (CFHC) allocated for the Negombo lagoon project during the last Presidential election.
When the case was taken up today(25), charges were served on Sarath Kumara Gunaratne and 5 others at the Colombo High Court today.
Followed by this, they have been released on cash bail of Rs. 25,000 each and 2 personal sureties of Rs. 500,000.
The order was issued by Colombo High Court Judge R Gurusinha.
The case will be taken up once again on 4th of June.
