Today Declared as a National Day of Mourning

The government last night declared today (2), as a National Day of Mourning as a mark of respect for the late Dr. Lester James Peries, the Presidential Media Unit said.

The funeral of late Dr. Peries will be held at the Independence Square today at 4 pm with full state patronage.
