Mahendran’s Appeal to Interpol….

Former Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran, who is in the wanted list of the police, evaded arrest by fleeing the country. He is a Singapore citizen.  The Srilanka Court has repeatedly issued warrant for his arrest. Finally Interpol red notice has been issued for his arrest.

 Under these circumstances, Mahendran reported to have made an appeal to the Interpol stating that the Srilanka government wanted to arrest him on political grounds. Hence, to release him from Interpol arrest warrant.
