CID Seeks the Order of Colombo Magistrate to Obtain Documents in Thajudeen Murder Case

The CID submitted a further report of the investigation when the case was taken up before Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage yesterday. The CID also submitted that the Government Analyst’s report failed to verify the person who followed Wasim Thajudeen’s car from the Laugfs Super Market at Havelock Town to Nugegoda prior to his death at Narahenpita. The CID further stated that the medical report issued by the Kalubowila Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) will be submitted at the next hearing.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday sought an order from the Colombo Magistrate to obtain the copies of some documents  between  January 1 and May 30,2012 from the Navy Commander pertaining to the murder of former Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen The CID informed court that investigations were being conducted under the supervision of a Software Engineer of the Sri Lanka Telecom regarding the internal phone calls and suspicious phone calls received from Temple Trees and the former President’s Official Residence.
The case was fixed for June 29.
