CID Informs  BBC Journalist Azzam Ameen Not to Appear at CID

While BBC journalist Azzam Ameen has been asked to report to the Cyber Crimes unit of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) this morning (10) to record a statement, Police has informed him that there is no need for him to make a statement.  Information was provided through a written letter and telephone.

It was reported that the BBC journalist was summoned regarding re-tweeted a screenshot of the two tweets with one of his comments.
