Galle Fishermen On Candlelight Protest Campaign

A group of Galle fishermen) demanding that fuel to be supplied to fishermen at the previous price staged a protest campaign holding candles last night (May 16)

Participating in the protest, All Island Fishermen’s General Federation’s National Organizer Rathna Gamage said, that the proposed coupon systems will not succeed and the fishermen are facing hardships to carry out their livelihood as a result of the recent kerosene price hike.
