Sri Lanka Consumer Price Index for July shows a deflation of 0.2%

 

The Department of Census and Statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index in Sri Lanka increased to 182.80 Index Points in July from 181.6 Index Points in June of 2015.

This shows a slight increase of 1.2 index points and also a percentage of 0.68 compared to Iast month’s Index point of I 81.6.

This change has occurred, due to the price increase of food items by 0.32 percent and non-food items by 0.35 percent in the economy.
