A New Map of Sri Lanka to be Released Today

A new Sri Lankan map including the 2 km portion of land reclaimed for the Port City and land reclaimed for the Moragahakanda reservoir will be introduced to the country today.

Surveyor General P.M.P. Udayakantha said a digital version of the map will release today, while the printed version would be available within two weeks.

He said printed copies of the new map, in the 1:500 ratio would be by mid June for public accessibility.

 “The new map will include many recent development features such as expressways, flyovers, reservoirs and others,” he said.
