Speaker Calls For Report

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has called for a report of names of Parliamentarians , who allegedly obtained funds from the owner of Perpetual Treasuries Arjun Aloysius who are said to have been revealed in the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Treasury Bond issue.

He said the request has been made to the Presidential Secretariat in both writing and orally.

Several groups have revealed that the report by the Presidential Commission named 118 Parliamentarians,  who are said to have obtained money from Arjun Aloysius.

The individuals who level the accusations claim the failure to reveal the names of the 118 MPs is a violation of the respect and dignity of all Parliamentarians.
