20th Amendment Draft Bill Handed Over to the General Secretary of Parliament

The 20th amendment Draft Bill handed over to the General Secretary of Parliament by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP)  has been forwarded to the Attorney General.

Upon evaluation by the Attorney General, it would be gazetted and taken up for debate in Parliament. A two-thirds majority is required to ensure passage of the bill.
