Request To Increase Canned Fish Prices?

The current price of local canned fish stands at Rs. 140 while imported canned fish are sold at Rs. 146.

As the production cost has increased the producer requested the government to bring the local prices in line with the prices of imported canned fish.

A member of the cost of living committee said a decision on the matter will be taken when the committee convenes tomorrow (June 6).
