No End of Postal Strike

No End of Postal Strike

The Government has asked two weeks time space to resolve their demands in an acceptable manner. But they struck work as from 11th June before the end of deadline, Govt claims.
However, General Secretary of Union of Post claimed as the Government has failed to fulfill its promise to them, they are going on strike.
Trade unions said that the strike will continue until their demands are met.
Earlier, trade union agents had engaged in a discussion with the Minister and a group of government representatives.
Postmaster General Rohana Abeyratne says that it was agreed  to  arrive at a decision after the cabinet paper is considered and approved by the cabinet probably within two weeks.
