Arrested main suspect and 2 others who shot at Kirivehera Chief Incumbent remanded.

Tissamaharaa police when produced arrested three suspects responsible for the shooting that took place at Kataragama Kirivehera before the Tissamaharaa Magistrate, they  were  remanded until the 20th of  this month.
As a consequence of the shooting Chief Incumbent Venerable Kobavaka Dhamminda Thera was injured and obtaining treatment in a private hospital in Colombo.
Amongst those arrested, was the main suspect, a former caretaker at Mahasen Devaalaya,  Bohpegedera Asela Lakshman Bandaara.
Kataragama police said that the other two suspects who were arrested yesterday are being detained for further questioning.
initial investigations have revealed that the former custodian, had been given a 3 million rupee contract to have the chief incumbent of Katharagama – Kiriwehera, shot at.
At the time of arrest, police recovered ammunition, a firearm and a locally manufactured gun, believed to have been used in the crime.
