Speeding Vehicles Become A Menace To Public.

A speeding car hit a sergeant and a Police constable on night patrol duty last night at Palapathwala, Matale instantly killing the police sergeant and injuring the other. The victim was a 49-year-old, police sergeant, a resident of Tittawellagoda in Matale.

Police investigation revealed that the driver of the car has fallen asleep on the wheel, causing this accident.

 Driver of the speeding car was arrested by the police.
