PMG Requests Postal Workers to Report to The Nearest. 

Post Master General Rohana Abeyratne said there were reports of obstructions and harassment to postal employees who are willing to report back to work.

Hence, PMG is requesting the postal workers who are unable to report to work to their assigned post offices, to report to the office of nearest Postal Superintendent.

Further a communiqué issued by the PMG states arrangements have been made to provide transport facilities to such worker

The striking postal unions held a discussion with the authorities yesterday (Jun 25) but that too ended without a solution.

The strike launched by the postal workers seeking a specific service constitution for the Postal Department continues for a 16th day today.
