A Fake Doctor Arrested

A 31 year old man from Pamunugama pretended to be a doctor has deceived several women and defrauded  more than 50 lakhs from them.  He approached prospective young women and get friendlier with them in the first instance. He pretended to be a doctor. Innocent women deceived by his words have given money and their belongings to prepare for marriage which never realize. Women from  Pamunugama, Kandana, Colombo and Negombo  are the victims, who reported the matter to the police.

Police was able to trace him in a hotel in Pettah and took him into custody. He found to be a regular casino player. He will be produced before the Negombo court today, police said.
