Sword Cutting At Dansala……

Two school students armed with swords appeared  before an 18-year-old school student and  attacked him with a sword at a dansala in Welipenna in Meegama.

Police said that the victim was with few of his friends when one of the suspects launched the attack with a sword hidden inside an umbrella.

The student who sustained injuries was admitted to the Iththapaana Hospital and later transferred to Kalutara, Nagoda Hospital for further treatment.

A spokesperson for the hospital said that the student had a slash in his back but he was not in a critical condition and out of danger.
