Operations in search of vendors who packet food items and sells at higher prices

 

The Consumer Affairs Authority says that a special operation has been launched in search of businessmen who packet food items and sells them at prices higher than the maximum retail price.

CAA Director General J. M. A. Douglas told that the Authority had received information to the effect that sugar, dhal, cow pea,  gramme other food items were packeted and sold to consumers at prices higher than the scheduled price.
