Dan Stevens hears the “Call of the Wild”
(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Dan Stevens (“The Guest,” “Beauty and the Beast”) is set to team with Harrison Ford in the big-budget Jack London adventure novel adaptation “Call of the Wild” at 20th Century Fox.
Ford is playing John Thornton, a prospector searching for gold in the unforgiving Yukon at the end of the 19th century. Stevens’ role is unclear but is said to be a significant one. Chris Sanders (“The Croods”) is directing from a script by Michael Green (“Logan”).
The film will be shot in California, both on location and on sound stages with the dogsled racing sequences to be done digitally via Technoprops. Stevens stars in FX’s “Legion,” which has been renewed for a third season, and will be seen later this year in “The Raid” director Gareth Evans’ new film “Apostle” premiering on Netflix this Fall.
