VIDEO: PM reveals about Possible Future Defense Minister under UNP

 

Prime Minister (PM) Ranil Wickremesingha stated that there was no reason to worry about the national security under a future United National Party (UNP) government since it will have an excellent Minister of Defense.

Speaking at a rally in Hiripitiya, Kurunegala, Wickremesingha said that the defense minister under a future UNP government will be none other than President Maithripala Sirisena.

There should be no fear over a resurgence of the LTTE since the government will focus on the national security, Wickremesingha said.

He also said that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is inciting racism once again. However, he has forgotten that he signed an agreement with the LTTE in 2005, Wickremesingha claimed.
