(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) Commissioner V. K. A. Anura reinstated by the Western Province Governor with effect from Monday (06).
Anura was removed from his position by the Governor, on the recommendations of the Presidential Commission, appointed to probe into the garbage collapse in Meethotumulla which occurred on 14 April, 2017.
More than 23 lives were claimed and 180 families were displaced by the tragedy.
