PCB bans Nasir Jamshed for 10 years

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO)Opener Nasir Jamshed has been banned for 10 years by the board’s Anti Corruption Tribunal for his involvement in the spot-fixing row that rocked the PSL during the 2016-17 season, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed on Friday (August 17).

In April this year, the opening batsman had rejected all the five breaches against him laid out by the PCB. As a result, the PCB listed out a statement, noting that the chairman Najam Sethi had taken up the matter for resolution to a three-member anti-corruption tribunal, which contains Justice (Retd.) Fazl-e-Miran Chauhan, Shahzaib Masood and former Pakistan pacer Aqib Javed.

Over a period of time, Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Nawaz have also been handed out bans of varying lengths.
