(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – The crew of the JMSDF “Ikazuchi”, a Naval ship belongs to Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force which arrived the island on Monday (20) an acquaintance tour, together with a group of Naval personnel attached to Eastern Naval Command carried out a cleaning campaign along the Trincomalee beach area, yesterday (21).
The whole beach area was cleaned by them disposing the collected heaps of garbage, polythene, and plastic waste. Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe and number of senior and junior officers of the command attended this occasion.
