Forty Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan custody were released yesterday (10) after they were produced in two courts.
The Tamil Nadu fishermen had been in detained since June after they were arrested by the Sri Lanka Navy, for illegally fishing in Sri Lankan waters.
Mannar Magistrate released 14 fishermen, while 26 others were released by Point Pedro Magistrate Court.
