Party Leaders to boycott meeting with President
(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – A special meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday (15) between President Maithripala Sirisena and the Party Leaders who supported the No-Confidence Motion brought against his appointee for Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Cabinet of Ministers.
However, the Party Leaders have decided to boycott the meeting, after seeing President Sirisena’s letter to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, the Leader of Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) Mano Ganesan said.
“We will not attend the meeting with President today morning at his secretariat. Our firm position is that 122 MPs have passed a NCM yesterday. Any “Crisis Solution’ shall begin from this point” – TPA leader Mano Ganesan on Situation Today https://t.co/txnBBaMeSX
