Woman dies in acid attack; Daughter injured

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Thirty-nine-year-old woman had died due to an acid attack carried out by two persons while she and her daughter were asleep at their residence in Kamburupitiya on Thursday (15).

The victim and her daughter have been attacked at around 10.30 PM. Both were admitted to the Andapana Hospital following the attack.

The woman’s husband had been away from her for the past five-months, while the daughter had testified to the Police in her statement that her father and another person had attacked them with acid.
