SLPP begins preparing General Election policy statement

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna says it has begun preparing its policy statement for the next General Election.

The Media spokesman of the party Sanjeewa Edirimanne said the statement has been titled the Peoples policy making operation, reportedly.

He stressed according to the country’s election time table and according to the Constitution, a General Election must be held this year, adding therefore the party has begun preparations in this regard.

Edirimanne said therefore the SLPP has commenced the formulation of a policy statement using special methods.

The Media Spokesman highlighted that the party’s policy statement will be built around the public and public opinion.
