VAT rate for hotels reduced; Import Tax on hotel security equipment removed

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – VAT rate for the hotels in the tourism industry reduced from 15% to 5% for 1-year, the Finance Ministry stated.

Import Tax on hotel security equipment has been removed as well.
