Navy nabs a person with a haul of illegal foreign cigarettes

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Navy in coordination with the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Trinncomalee apprehended a person with 30 packets of illegal foreign cigarettes at Andamkulama area on Friday (14).

The arrested haul consisted of 600 cigarettes and those were set for sale at the moment of apprehension.

The suspect is a resident of Andamkulama area in Trincomalee, aged 56. Further investigations on the person and the haul of cigarettes are conducted by Anti-Corruption Bureau in Trinncomalee.
