Class 12 girl drugged, raped by friend’s boyfriend

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – A Class 12 teenage girl was allegedly drugged and gangraped by her friend’s boyfriend and his friends.

In a shocking incident from Sonipat, Haryana State in India, a Class 12 teenage girl was allegedly drugged and gangraped by her friend’s boyfriend and his friends.

The victim, in a police complaint given to the Sonipat women police station, has alleged that she had gone to Sonipat on July 18 to buy books and medicines. After buying the medicines and books she called up one of her friends as she wanted to meet her.

The victim’s friend gave her the number of one of the accused — Vikas who was supposed to pick her up and drop her at her friend’s place.

According to the police complaint, the victim called up the accused Vikas, who offered her a lift in his car.

Instead of taking her to her friend’s house, Vikas took her to an unknown place. She was offered a cold drink spiked with sedatives in the car, consuming which made her unconscious.

The accused allegedly raped the girl in his car and then took her to an unidentified location where his friends took turns to rape the victim. 

A case has been registered at the Sonipat women police station against the accused Vikas and his friends under the CrPC, IPC and Pocso Act. No arrests have been made so far. Police officials claimed the accused will be arrested soon. 

The police are also likely to interrogate the victim’s friend to ascertain her role in the gangrape. (indiatoday reports)
