(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Select Committee appointed to look into and report to Parliament on the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, will convene today.
The meeting will be held under patronage of Deputy Speaker of House Ananda Kumarasiri from 3pm, at the Parliamentary complex.
The Committee is expected to discuss matters concerning the formulation of its final report.
The Select Committee had questioned a number of persons previously including the President, the Prime Minister and several heads of armed forces pertaining to the deadly April 21st attacks.
The Select Committee was appointed on the 22nd of May, to look into and report to Parliament on the April terrorist attacks.
The Term of the Parliamentary Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday attacks, will end on the 31st of October. Meanwhile, the Committee on Public Enterprises and the Committee on Public Accounts will also convene today at the Parliamentary complex.
