(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – An individual has been killed while attempting to light fireworks at a musical show held in view of Deepavali at the Gawarawila Public Ground in Maskeliya yesterday (27).
The victim has been identified as Muttusamy Kirubakaran, a 40-year-old father of 4.
The firecrackers had blown up when he attempted to light fireworks, causing serious injuries to his face. The victim had succumbed to his injuries before reaching the Maskeliya Hospital.
