Kalutara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit has arrested a suspect with foreign manufactured weapons in a raid conducted in Meegahathenna area yesterday (6) afternoon. Police have found a T-56 gun, seven bullets and a magazine in the suspect’s possession.
The suspect is a 17-year-old resident of Meegahathenna area. He is to be produced before Mathugama Magistrate today (23).
Kalutara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit is carrying out further investigations into the incident.
